“It’s a really special thing to have 40 people from 13 states. I’m hoping I’m going to learn new strategies in and around building community capacity,” said Elizabeth Wells, the Director of Community and Economic Development for the City of LaFayette, Georgia and the City of Rossville, Georgia about her goals as a 2019-2020 Appalachian Leadership Institute Fellow. The Appalachian Leadership Institute is a comprehensive leadership and economic development training opportunity for people who live and/or work in Appalachia and are passionate about helping their communities thrive.
