Recent Study Assesses Impact of Medicaid and HRSA Funding on Health Center Capacity to Serve

Researchers found an association between Health Center Program funding provided under Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act and the number of patients served. Estimating the Impact of Medicaid Expansion and Federal Funding Cuts on FQHC Staffing and Patient Capacity concludes that Section 330 grants appear to have a larger impact on access to care than Medicaid expansion.
