The Substance Abuse and Services Administration (SAMHSA) released a proposed rule seeking to modernize regulations regarding medications for the treatment of opioid use disorder (MOUD) and to make MOUD more accessible to all patients, especially rural patients that often have to travel further to receive treatment.
