HRSA Announces New Access Point Health Center Funding Opportunity

Funding Agency:
Health Resources Services and Administration

Deadline:
June 13, 2024

Description:

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has announced that applications to establish New Access Points (NAPs) are now open to expand access to affordable, high-quality primary health care, including mental health and substance use disorder services, for underserved communities and populations. NAP applicants may be currently funded health centers, look-alikes, or new organizations (those not yet part of the Health Center Program). IMPORTANT NOTE: HRSA will only be able to make awards for this Notice of Funding Opportunity if Congress appropriates additional funds for the Health Center Program in fiscal year 2025 and specifically targets additional funding to NAPs. There are other significant differences between this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) and previous ones, including: a strong focus on funding NAPs in the highest-need areas and requiring Look-Alikes to open a new site in order to get all 10 priority points.
