The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) has released the 2026 Pennsylvania Housing Action Plan, a comprehensive strategy outlining steps to address housing needs, expand supply, and strengthen communities throughout the state.
The plan focuses on increasing housing availability, supporting community revitalization, and helping local governments and partners remove barriers that limit housing development — particularly in the kinds of walkable downtowns and neighborhoods where many Pennsylvanians want to live.
Pennsylvania Downtown Center looks forward to serving as an implementing partner in advancing many of the strategies outlined in the Housing Action Plan and supporting communities across the Commonwealth as they work to expand housing opportunities and strengthen their downtowns and neighborhoods.
We encourage you to review the Housing Action Plan to learn more about the strategies, priorities, and opportunities for collaboration moving forward.
