The Pennie Health Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment period began November 1 and ends January 31, 2026. Enrollment Assisters have reported a flurry of activity during the first few days with customers asking specific questions about Enhanced Premium Tax credits and costs. New enrollments are down 20%.
The age range most negatively affected by the expiring tax credits are those 55-64. With every one new enrollment, two current enrollees dropped coverage. Call Center calls were 31% higher in the first week of Open Enrollment compared to the same time frame last year for the 150-200% income range.
