Executive Order Updates U.S. Childhood Vaccine Schedule

The White House published an Executive Order (EO) on Realigning United States Core Childhood Vaccine Recommendations With Best Practices From Peer, Developed Countries. The EO directs the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to launch a review and potentially revise U.S. childhood vaccine recommendations based on comparisons with other developed countries.

The EO maintains vaccine access and coverage while emphasizing parental authority and religious liberties. It also encourages state health officials to consider the assessments when updating state vaccination policies.
