Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) was established by the 1996 amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA).  The DWSRF is a financial assistance program to help water systems and states to achieve the health protection objectives of the SDWA. The program is a powerful partnership between EPA and the states.

EPA announced the latest round of funding for states to reduce exposure to lead in drinking waterThis funding will accelerate progress in finding and removing lead service lines as the agency also announces a new lead service line inventories dashboard with the latest information provided by states. EPA has also issued an Additional Eligibilities memorandum underscoring important flexibilities to ensure states can use the funding more efficiently and effectively.  Further, EPA has announced the redistribution of previous DWSRF funding to address lead.
