Lisa Davis is the director of the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health where she is responsible for
the overall direction and leadership of the office, including developing and sustaining linkages with
state and national partners and seeking ways to expand the office's role in the delivery of healthcare
services in rural areas of the state. Lisa is past-president of the Pennsylvania Rural Health
Association and a graduate of the inaugural class of Rural Voices, the national rural health leadership
development program. She sits on a number of national and statewide committees including standing
and ad hoc committees of the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health and advisory
committees for the National Rural Health Association. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Rural
Development Council, is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Family Health Council of
Central Pennsylvania, Inc. and serves on the Statewide Advisory Board of the University of Pittsburgh’s
Center for Rural Health Practice. Her experience focuses on rural health issues, rural health policy,
women's health, the health care needs of special populations, and the un- and underinsured. She received
her undergraduate degree in Sociology/Psychology from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a Masters
of Health Administration from Penn State. |
